Google Computers, phones, tablets, aren’t gonna take us anywhere. Source A by Nicholas Carr, source B by Genevieve Robers, and Source C infographic by online colleges.net show that Google isn’t affecting us in a positive way. Google doesn’t let us think deeply and gets us distracted. Google doesn’t help us in our way towards brilliance. Google is negatively affecting our intelligence. Google doesn’t let us think deeply and makes us shallow, it causes digital amnesia, and at least half the time the information isn’t true.
To begin with, Google infers in letting us think deeply and makes us shallow. Messages and other data break our train of thought. To have richer thoughts we need concentration. Google gives us information making us think superficially. According to Source A, “So even as Google is giving us all that useful information, it’s also encouraging us to think superficially. It makes us shallow.” Since we know the information is there, we don’t have or take the time to remember it. While looking threw websites, ads appear distracting us and taking our concentration away. We can’t think deeply while using Google. Nicholas Carr states, “The fact that is, you’ll never think deeply if you are always Googling, texting, and surfing.” If we can’t think deeply, we can;t get smarter. Google gives us facts and a fast way to get them, but it’s not helping your brain. Continuing on with, Google leads to digital amnesia. We don’t memorize facts anymore since we rely on Google’s quick answers. The internet changes our way we store and handle the information we get. Source B says, “... suggests 90% of us are suffering from digital amnesia.” About 70% of people don’t know their children’s phone by heart and 49% haven’t memorized their partners number. We all rely on our devices to save this information for us. Spending time on devices and looking information in them doesn’t create permanent memories. According to Genevieve Robert, “Constantly looking up information online is not an effective way to create permanent memories .” Google is stopping you from living great memories. Google is affecting your brain in a negative way. It’s stopping you from having long-term memory. Finally, not all information Google gives us is true.Sites like Wikipedia has many false information since people can edit it and add information. Not all sites are credible sources. Source C (infographic) is filled with incorrect information which may lead to being informed incorrectly. No one wants the wrong information. The infographic states that these tools have replaced our need to memorize things because we know where the site is. What is the information on the site is wrong your brain won’t be getting conceptual knowledge. In conclusion, Google is affecting your brain in many different ways. Google is affecting us negatively. It doesn’t let us think deeply, it leads to digital amnesia and not all information is correct. Leave your devices alone and start thinking, really thinking if you want brilliance. Junk Food By 2018 , the U.S will spend 344,000,000,000 on obesity related health care costs. Sources A by The New Magazine for Teens, source B by Erica Robinson, and source C by Norton Center Infographic prove that junk food in school is no good. Junk Food in school might be the problem in why obesity rates are increasing. About 25,000,000 children in the United States are overweight or obese. School officials and health workers are worried. Junk food shouldn’t be sold or given in school cafeterias. Junk Food affects your life, banning junk food can reduce obesity rates, and if junk food isn’t banned from schools, it can cause junk food addiction. To begin with, eating junk food at early age affects your life. Since students spend most of their time at school, their eating habits are created there. Since the schools sell junk food and give food like pizza, kids get affected. According to source A, “Poor eating habits developed at an early age can lead to a lifetime of real health consequences.” Children can become obese or overweight. Being obese or overweight can lead to death and being in the stage of rejection from other people. Source A states, “Nearby 300,000 people die each year from complications associated with being obese or overweight.” Since eating habits start at an early age, banning junk food from schools would create a healthy habit for kids. Doing this, the number of deaths and obesity will decrease. Banning junk food from schools will change kids eating habits from unhealthy to healthy and lower obesity percentage. Continuing on with, banning junk food can reduce obesity rates. Banning junk food can help lower obesity rates and can prevent kids from getting bullied or teased for their weight. According to source C (infographic source) states that 26% of six graders are bullied, teased,or rejected daily based on their size, the percentage increases to 61% by the time they reach high school. Junk food in schools is causing many kids to be teased and bullied. Schools serve food like pizza, hamburgers, and fried chicken. Food like these have so much grease that is not healthy at all. Source C states that 70% of obese children have at least one risk factor for heart disease. Without junk food in school, this rate/percentage can go down as well. Let’s ban junk food for good. Finally, selling junk food at schools can cause junk food addiction. If schools do not sell junk food that have high calorie, high sugar, and high sodium, kids would not be having a problem with junk food addiction. According to source B, “He told mental floss that some foods are purposely made with bland ingredients so that you crave more food or just add enough sugar or salt until your mouth explodes with flavor.” If kids didn’t get food with lot of sugar or ingredients that make you want more like hot cheetos, cookies, and candy, there would be less kids that would have junk food addiction. In that same source it acknowledged, “Puffy snacks for example, melt very quickly in your mouth, so you desire another bag.” Schools sell chips causing kids to buy more and more bags because they desire more. Yeah many say that junk food shouldn’t be banned because chips, cookies, brownies, etc. are good once in awhile. The problem is that kids don’t know how to balance their quantity that they eat. I have seen my classmates eat more than three bags a week. This is another reason why junk food should be banned. In conclusion, those are some ideas why junk food should be banned from school. Junk Food affects your life, banning junk food can reduce obesity rates, and if junk food isn’t banned from schools, it can cause junk food addiction.

Descartes believes that the process of perceiving /thinking is irrefutable truth. Your thoughts can't be denied. The thing you perceived can be doubted since one image while other people see another. The thing you can see can be different for others which means they can doubt it. He also believes that to know you exist and that something is actually happening, you are able to think.
